Teens! Want Your Own Fashion show? Click Here

August 27, 2008  12:17 pm

Teen dreams can be excessive anywhere, but in Los Angeles, the city that gave us Hollywood, the sky’s the limit. A new player in the making-fantasy-reality game is Style Star, a fashion events company spearheaded by former publicist Nancy Lucas and stylist Elin Litzinger that’s dedicated to producing runway shows for birthdays and bar/bat mitzvahs. The shows come complete with a catwalk, hair and makeup staff, lighting and sound, a show producer, a runway instructor, and a DJ to customize the perfect soundtrack (Miley Cyrus and Madonna rank as favorites), and teens are invited to select from “Vintage Vogue” (Givenchy, Halston, and YSL) or “Modern Chic” (Marc Jacobs, L.A.M.B., and Anna Sui) as the theme of their event. The whole thing is filmed by a professional crew, and customers get a DVD of the special event once the festivities are over. The fee? A cool $40,000 per event. And they’re booked through the end of the year.
